TIPS ON HOW TO USE AND NAVIGATE THIS SITE

Welcome to My Las Vegas.

I thought about calling this site Mickey’s Las Vegas but then nobody knows who Mickey is. I hope after reviewing this site that will change.

I’ve put a lot of time into developing a complete overview of Las Vegas real estate and all the supporting reasons why you should move to Las Vegas. If you already live here and are considering moving, perhaps this will uncover some hidden gems of Las Vegas that you haven’t previously known about.

This website will be continuously improved, and more and more information added as time goes on. It is intended to help you find a location in Las Vegas that is affordable for you, comfortable and convenient to all of the amenities that are important to you. I hope you don’t have to go  visit Mr. Google to much after seeing my site. You may need to just to clarify a few details which I may have overlooked or not had room to cover but this should be a great jumping off point.

If you scroll down from the homepage, there is a search bar so you can start shopping immediately. Next are my credentials which hopefully gives you the confidence that you need to work with me. Scrolling further down the homepage are a few examples of important webpages within the site. You may notice as you peruse the site that some of the most important and content rich pages are accessed from many locations throughout the site. This was done purposely so that you don’t have to remember a page that you saw and then try to locate it from memory. My site has literally hundreds of pages and this is my attempt to make it easier for you to find pages that are important.

Most of the navigation descriptions are self-explanatory.  The Properties tab gives multiple ways of searching properties, Buying includes a buyer survey which when properly filled out can really help you find what you are looking for faster. There is also a Buyer’s Guide to help you through the buying process. We have also developed lists of properties by their type, such as luxury, gated, golf, condominiums "over 55" etc. Two of the most valuable resources are my Cities and Neighborhood Guides.  You’ll see not only a summary list of most of the important Cities, Townships and neighborhoods in the Las Vegas Valley, but you also have the ability to download the lists. Another feature to help you better understand Las Vegas are individual pages about each City, Township and neighborhood. From the sellers side, you’ll see a sellers checklist and ability to ask for a free home evaluation as well as other necessary tools, hints and tips when selling your home

The Relocation tab provides a downloadable relocation handbook. Again the cities list neighborhoods tables describe each of the cities, townships and neighborhoods in the Las Vegas Valley. Additionally, you’ll find tabs for Amenities and Discover to allow you to find information about parks, beaches restaurants, casinos, entertainment and museums in Las Vegas Valley.  We hope this will help give you one stop place to familiarize yourself with this vibrant community.  Finally, if you’re moving here and need to find a rental we can help you.  In Nevada realtors do not have listings for apartment buildings. We are allowed to rent condominiums, townhomes, single-family and noncommercial homes.

Lastly, I would encourage you to look at Mickey’s "My Las Vegas" favorites. These are some of the things that I have personally tried and love.  Anyway, I hope to meet you personally and help you with your real estate needs here in Las Vegas.

One last comment, I’m sure you heard of Las Vegas referred to us Sin city. My general feeling is that there’s less Sin here and I feel safer here than in many cities throughout the US including where I moved from in Los Angeles. If you need anything or need further guidance, please do not hesitate to call me at 702-863-1052. I’ll do my best to try and help you.

Warmest regards,

Mickey

PS: I encourage you to look at Tips and How to Use and Navigate the Site. Hover over the HOME and you will see it in the drop down menu. .

There are two stories as to why city officials changed the name from Broadway Hill to Capitol Hill. Some say that the original developer’s wife simply liked the way it sounded, while others think he hoped that the state would actually move the capitol to that area. In its early days, the neighborhood was certainly ritzy enough to be the political center of the state. Huge houses were built, which led to the nickname of “Millionaires’ Row” in one area. After World War II, a great number of apartment buildings were constructed, changing the demographics. These two cultures are still reflected today.

Since the area is known for its music scene, make sure to check out a concert at one of the venues like Neumo’s, pick through a record store like Sonic Boom, or do the extreme and attend the Capitol Hill Block Party in July. You can also say hello to the Jimi Hendrix statue on the corner of Broadway and Pine. If you’re into film, see a movie at the Landmark Harvard Exit – a classic building turned into theaters. Despite being one of the most densely populated areas of the city, Capitol Hill also has a surprising amount of green space, including Volunteer Park, Cal Anderson Park, and Interlaken Park, not to mention the Washington Parks Arboretum on the northeast corner.

Capitol Hill is funky and fast-paced, with an endless number of cool blocks to explore and, unfortunately, a limited number of parking spaces. During the day, markets, boutiques, and salons are a big draw. Nightlife is hopping with clubs, bars, and music venues, and you’ll often find coffee shops that moonlight as cocktail lounges. Individuality and fashion statements are encouraged, and there always seems to be some sort of block party or community forum to encourage residents and visitors to mix and mingle.
